In the world of juicing, there are two main types of juicers – the masticating juicer and the centrifugal juicer. Both have their own advantages and disadvantages, and the best type for you will depend on what you will be using it for.
In this review, we have placed our focus on searching for the best centrifugal juicers one the market of 2016. We have narrowed it down to our three favorite choices for you. We have nominated them that fall into three categories based on price – under $100, under $200, and over $200. Below, we will talk about what it is, and review our top picks.
What is a Centrifugal Juicer
Before we get to the reviews, we want to talk about what it is. We want to do this because it is important to know what to look for in this kind of machine before you make your decision. There are some things that it is not capable of so it would be a waste to base your decision on a juicer that claims to be able to do something specific that they actually cannot do.
An example of this is juicing leafy greens. An expensive juicing machine of this type will not juice leafy greens very well. If you want to get the most out of any leafy green, you should opt for the most powerful centrifugal machine. Although it will perform better than others with lower power, they will never be able to match what a masticating machine can do.
On the other hand, it can shred through any type of produce within seconds. This is something that a masticating juicer cannot keep up with no matter what price or quality you are looking for.
How It Works
It works by spinning the pulp of the fruits and vegetables around at high speeds. This centrifugal force creates pressure against the pulp as it clings to the exterior of the container within the machine. This pulls the liquid from the pulp, and allows the machine to extract it into a separate container. It spins at such high speeds it is able to extract virtually all of the juice from the pulp.

Best Centrifugal Juicers Reviews
First, we’ll start with a model that is priced at under $100. The Breville BJE200XL just barely makes the cut. In fact, we were quite surprised to see that it was priced this low. We assumed it would be in the $150-$200 range and were not expecting it to be priced this low. This makes it a great value, especially for those that do not have demanding needs.
It has a 700 W motor which will spin at up to 14,000 RPMs in order to extract the juice from the pulp. It has a 3-inch wide feeding tube which should be large enough to fit most vegetables or fruits that you can fit into it. When we were dealing with larger round fruits, we had to cut them into quarters, which was pretty easy to do, in order to fit them in.
The best part about this model is its price. Although it is priced low, it is not lacking in features. The biggest downside to it is the wattage that it puts out. As you will see with the following reviews, 700 W is not very high as far as centrifugal juicers go. If you are looking for something more powerful, we suggest you consider the other two models below.
This is our mid-priced model of choice. It delivers more power without demanding too much from your wallet. If you are looking for a machine that is fairly priced and delivers more power than the cheaper versions, this is our recommendation for you.
For this type of machine, the noise is okay. A lot of reviews say that it is too loud; however, that is something you should expect with this kind of juicer. Overall, we felt that the noise it makes is on par with other comparable models. The reason we like this particular machine is because of how it handled everything that we put into it. Although this is not the good option that you want to use leafy greens with, it did surprisingly well when we tried it.
Finally, we get to the best of the best. The Breville BJE820XL is the best-performing and most powerful machine that we tested. It can generate up to 1200 W of power. This is a huge jump from the 700 W that we tested earlier. In fact, it is almost double that.
There are two main advantages to having such a powerful machine. The first is the speed that it will eat through the produce that you feed it. Because of how fast it is going, you can pretty much dump everything you have into it. As long as it fits in the shoot, you can shove it in there and it will take care of the rest.
The second main advantage of having this much power is the juice extraction. Because it is spinning so fast, it is able to extract more juice than the lower wattage juicers can.
We love all of these machines for different reasons. We broke these them into three price ranges to help you decide which one is the best for you. The truth is that any of these juicers will outperform your expectations. The only question is how much you are able to spend on one.
